what is club bulldog?
Club Bulldog is a study club. It is designed with a special emphasis on generating dialogue based on a student’s school curriculum.
We provide consistent reinforcement during regular, 3-hour study sessions in small group settings to develop independent learners who take ownership of their studies.
We provide guided discussions to improve understanding, develop stronger study habits and ultimately better grades and time management skills.
We provide specialized subject tutoring in a variety of subjects based upon need.
Our members come from both public and private schools in the Bergen County area.

Our approach:
A student was preparing for a high school admissions test by memorizing the definitions of a very long list of words. When asked to write a sentence using one of those words in context, she replied, “What’s the point of that?”
While rote memorization may be one way to learn, our focus is on understanding context and understanding relationships so that knowledge has meaning. We believe this happens when students have a space to wrestle with the material. By focusing on the process rather than just on cramming more information, we help our students develop the confidence to be more effective learners over the long term. Through regular group discussions, vocabulary/math drills, and supplementary reading materials, we provide the framework for students to develop the habits for academic success.
